The
National Media Centre represents the means to ensure
that the Iraqi government speak with one voice. It is
also a link between the decision-making positions in the
Iraqi government on the one hand, and between the media
on the other by issuing press releases that represent
the opinion of the government in all issues and
developments that take place on the Iraqi situation, as
well as monitor all media-Information on Iraq and
Preparing daily reports that are sent to decision-making
positions in the Iraqi government, as well as posting
them on the website.
The National Media Centre aims at promoting coordination
between the Media offices of the ministries, independent
bodies and the provinces, and provides them with the
services of training and development.
In its relatively short life, the National Media Centre,
have achieved mutual communication between the public
and the Iraqi government through NMC various monitoring.
The integration of all Section of the National Media
Center have resulted in an excellent performance aiming
at familiarizing the public with the government and
Performance, through presenting a better objective
understanding for all Political issues and daily
problems that affect Iraqis everyday life.
NMC Aims
the National Media Centre is keen to gain the confidence
of citizens and the Iraqi government and the media
internal and external by adopting complete neutrality
and reflect the reality in all sincerity, and adopting
transparency and professionalism in order to achieve the
country's prosper and happiness. It also aims to
regulate the process of communication and networking
between government and citizen in both directions
through the media.
NMC functions
Implementation of the Government's Media policy and
propose media strategy and revision
Covering official activities of the Prime ministry and
the various ministers and bodies non-related to the
Ministries and transfer to the media and public opinion
coordinate plans and efforts to media and government
institutions so as to achieve the integration of
information and communication to ensure coordination of
communication media.
Reflect the positive image of the government to world
public opinion and to provide supporting data and face
propaganda
preparation of plans and media programs to cover
national events in an attempt to strengthen the ties and
promote harmony among the Iraqi society.

issued on behalf of the Iraqi government to a large
number of media which are characterized of credibility
and professionalism in addition to the fact that they
come form an official source
The National Media Centre organizes periodic meetings
of officials in media offices of the ministries and
independent bodies and provinces, in order to ensure
coordination at all levels between officials from the
government media
NMC Activities
The
National Media Centre produces several projects such as
television advertisements, radio and press, which
carried the message of the Iraqi government that the
year 2008 will be a year of reconstruction and all the
ads that carried the slogan "Together We Build the
Nation" when great efforts were exerted to develop
public information campaign that suits NMC status.
The National Media Centre prepared many documentaries
that had an influential impact on media in Iraq, for
instance, the documentary entitled VIOLET PATH,
in which NMC presented the Iraqi situation over the past
five years, specifically the effects of the LAW
IMPOSTING security campaign and its role in the
deployment of security and normalization of everyday
life in the streets of Baghdad.
The National Media Centre also produced a documentary
that presents the details of the events of Basra in 2008
and the bitter situation of the heaviest burdens on the
citizen for many years, also shows the strategic and
demographic importance of the ancient city of Basra and
its role in charting Iraq's political position, the
documentary presents Knights and economic deals with
the arrival led by field State Prime Minister Nuri
al-Maliki, and the successes achieved by Iraqi forces on
the lawless gangs. The movie emphasizes vivid pictures
of cohesion and popular rallying around the government
in its quest to impose the rule of law.
The National Information Centre is now preparing a
documentary that sheds lights on completed and
uncompleted reconstruction projects and all these
documentaries are being translated into English in order
to be broadcasted on foreign TV and Satellite channels
as well as in Arabic TVs.
One Voice
The
National Media Center aims at Unifying government voice
and to facilitate coordination with regards to media
policies and official media plans. Thus NMC provides for
all government departments to obtain consolidated
information and facilitate the transfer of information
and views among themselves, in addition to supporting
the role of the media office of Mr. Prime Minister

Administration Section
Follow the official orders between the National Media
Center and other institutions formal and informal and
provide service to facilitate the work of staff members
through satisfying their needs and follow up their books
and archiving of official incoming and outgoing mail,
and issuing administrative orders Alaamamat internal
orders of the formation of committees and writing
accomplishments weekly special sections referred to the
Centre and the Office of the Secretary General and the
distribution of daily monitoring bulletin morning and
evening and attend follow-up and start issuing Altakoel
staff and special guests and journalists entry to the
center to hold meetings and press interviews and written
records of internal meetings, in addition to pursue
matters of financial and procurement centre predecessor
and settle its own.
Media Relations
Department
1. Give a prominent role of the media offices in
ministries and departments and bodies through the
activation of its daily work, including for the activity
of these government institutions.
2. Transmission of data releases of all resolutions
issued by the meetings of the Council of Ministers.
3. Cover the activities of Mr. Prime Minister and his
press conferences and turn them into readable text and
post them on the official website National Information
Centre.
4. The section also covers the activities of the
Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and contributes
to the media conferences and meetings of the Secretariat
of the Council of Ministers.
Media Monitoring Section
The most important task of media monitoring section is
to monitor the media that deal with the issues of Iraq.
Monitoring tasks are distributed to the staff in this
section on the basis of forms of media thus there is
satellite monitoring, press monitoring, and radio
monitoring they all issue the daily monitoring bulletin
twice a day which is prepared and coordinated
technically, printed and distributed to decision-making
positions in the government and also posted on the NMC
