Planning ministry launched a national strategy to fight poverty for the period 2010-2014.

 

Minister of planning Ali Baban said, during a celebration with this occasion, that the strategy aims to improve poor income, health level, teaching improvement, better residence situations, and social protection, in addition to decrease margins between men and women.

 

Baban affirmed that this strategy will decrease number from 7 to 5 million poor persons, and reduce illiteracy from 28% to 14% through having more students in schools, he referred that strategy will cut ration card system from people who are not poor only.
