Iraqi delegation, participating in the meetings of International coordination committee to keep antiquities belongs to UNESCO in Paris, inspected ways to keep Iraqi cultural legacy.
An official source in the tourist & antiquities ministry said that 1st meeting discussed situation of Babylon and ways to keep old sites there, in addition to protect activities done in the city, he added that a committee was formed concerning the historic city, in addition to ban trade with stolen pieces.
From his side, UNESCO manager called for severe measures against trade with Iraqi stolen pieces, and ratifying agreements and international long term treaties to safeguard cultural properties.
